What is the 1000 Congregations Campaign?
The 1000 Congregations Campaign enables congregations of all faiths to engage in dialogue, discernment, education and prayer on the death penalty. Read our letter of invitation.
What does it mean when a congregation signs-up?
Participating congregations agree to engage in dialogue, discernment, education and prayer on the death penalty. Signing-up does not signify that a congregation has taken a position on the death penalty. A congregation is not committed to engaging in specific activities, but rather encouraged to tailor activities and materials to meet the needs of that congregation.
How does my congregation sign-up? By returning a completed Sign-up Form, your congregation will have access to a variety of free resources on the death penalty for faith communities including films, speakers, brochures, curriculum, sample homilies and bulletin announcements, and more.
How does my organization endorse the campaign? By returning a completed Organizational Endorsement Form, your organization will be added the list of endorsing organizations.
