“Just Mercy” was a wake up call for me.
Not that I ever advocated for the Death Penalty; on the contrary.
I believe nobody has the right to take anyone’s life, no matter the crime.
I believe in redemption and mercy and yes, reintegration into society if at all possible.
In Germany, even murderers are allowed to leave their cell to go work, and the focus is on rehabilitation, not senseless suffering and death.
