Death Penalty Board Member Alex Ketley, a choreographer, filmmaker, and director of The Foundry, is presenting the world premiere of his production, “An Approximation of Resilience,” which portrays the life and struggle of Bill Clark, who was sentenced to death in California in 1997, at City Dance Studios in San Francisco on selected dates in March and April.
Ketley says the work explores the carceral system from his friend Clark’s intimate vantage point. Created with a stellar cast of performers, the core of the work is that beauty lies everywhere, even in prison, if it is given a chance to be seen and magnified.
Eight performances of “Resilence ” will be held from March 22 to April 12 at City Dance, 60 Brady Street, San Francisco.
