Rabbi Hannah Jensen

Rabbi Hannah Jensen serves as Assistant Rabbi at IKAR, a Jewish community rooted in ancient wisdom and driven by a moral mandate to create a more just and loving world.

She has been engaged in community organizing leadership since 2017, beginning her work in Los Angeles. Rabbi Jensen spent two and a half years as a spiritual counselor at Beit T’shuvah, a residential addiction treatment center, and has worked with T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights.

Currently, she represents HIAS on the Jewish Public Affairs Committee, amplifying the voices of immigrants and refugees across the country. She serves as the rabbinic presence for much of IKAR’s multifaith, multiracial justice work in Los Angeles and throughout California, and is a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
